About IFTA HQ

IFTA HQ is an independent, free IFTA fuel tax calculator for owner-operators and small fleets. You enter the miles you drove and the fuel you bought in each jurisdiction, and it works out your fleet MPG, the tax due or credit for each jurisdiction, and an audit-ready worksheet that shows every step.

It does one job: the quarterly IFTA calculation. There is no sign-up and no account. The calculator runs in your browser, and the numbers you enter are never sent to us.

Each quarter's tax rates are compiled from state agency publications of the IFTA rate tables and compared cell by cell against a second publication before they appear here. When a state changes its tax partway through a quarter, the rate tables and the calculator say so. The methodology page explains every step of the calculation and lists the sources.

IFTA HQ is not affiliated with IFTA, Inc. or any government agency, and it does not file returns for you. Some pages carry clearly labeled affiliate links. They never change how your tax is calculated.
