Filing IFTA for Kentucky miles

Kentucky's IFTA program is run by the Division of Motor Carriers in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Kentucky-based carriers file and pay quarterly returns online through Motor Carrier Connect.

Kentucky adds a surcharge that goes on its own line of the return. Vehicles with a combined license weight over 59,999 pounds also need a KYU license, a separate weight-distance tax with its own quarterly filing that is not part of IFTA.
